I had an idea about building an American style mobile diner and started to look for an appropriate tow vehicle. I found an ad for an un-restored Diamond T and really liked the look of it. It looked like it had had a roof chop, but it comes like that as standard. When I got the truck in May 2008, it had been painted but not put back together. The restoration was quite tricky as I didn’t take it apart and didn’t know where half the bits went. In fact, I still haven’t quite finished it - there are still a few bits to do. Apart from towing the diner to events all over the country, the ‘T’ has done drag racing at Shakespeare County Raceway, donuts in the snow and burnout competitions!
Check out HERE for the result.
We now have a number of American vehicles in various stages of restoration, some of which are for sale. Anyone wishing to view is always welcome, just give me a call.
